We undertook a full refurbishment of this 5 storey family home in the heart of Kensington. The property included 5 bedrooms, a cinema room and bijou terraces. We designed and implemented the full interior design package to include decorative finishes, bespoke joinery and furniture, soft furnishings, decorative lighting and styling throughout. Our client, originally from Lagos, had a huge interest in art and an extensive art collection, which was an important part of the brief. We were delighted to work with such beautiful pieces.
The main entrance hall features a stunning period fireplace and bespoke balustrade. Additionally, we designed cabinetry with a specialist finish to add texture and warmth to the space.
Our delightful client wanted a contemporary interior, whilst still making the most of the period features throughout the property. We installed a bespoke kitchen that lead to a beautiful sun-trapped terrace filled with planting and climbing jasmine. The brief for the kitchen was lots and lots of storage, so in addition to the main kitchen, we designed a bespoke dresser to house the additional appliances and extra chinaware.
Similarly, in one of the reception rooms, we incorporated a home study area. We designed a bespoke desk with additional joinery to house all of the equipment. Along with an Eames desk chair, which sits perfectly in front of a stunning piece of art ‘Entirely Interrupted iii’ by Johnson Eziefula.
The basement cinema was equipped with a full A/V screening room with acoustic panelled walls. We commissioned sumptuous lounge cinema seating in a deep cosy velvet by Rose Uniacke.
As the storage was imperative, we created additional dressing rooms to all of the bedrooms. We correspondingly created a light-filled dressing area in the master suite that included a bespoke curved dressing table. With four teenage children, we had a number of ‘client briefs’, which created a fun family home.
