Aubrey bar interior, with 20th-century ambiance

The Aubrey, Mandarin Oriental

London

Working closely with Maximal Concepts to interpret The Aubrey within the Mandarin Oriental London. Inspired by the building’s origin as a Gentleman’s club at the start of the 20th century, the vision has been to create a series of beautiful rooms, each with individual identities, and carefully curated art that form part of the original club. New reclaimed fireplaces installed in both the Library and Curio create a sense of heritage and gravitas.

The bar designed to be a beautiful drinking den has individual bar ledges for the ultimate date while the bar salon by day creates a warm and welcoming enclave in deep heritage green and vibrant muster. The curio room, with custom fabric wrapped panels is sumptuous in its tone-on-tone amber and dusk pink colour hues. The library a spot in which Aubrey Beardsley himself could have reclined is a discrete secret. For those in the know a private dining room with dramatic chandeliers and the Omakase bar provide the ultimate in secretive debauchery.
